iPAM currently has a membership base of 212 strong and growing members as of December 2025. Membership in iPAM, which is based on an annual subscription fee, is divided into five classes:


  1. Full Members (sub-divided into two categories)
    • Class 'A' Full Members; and
    • Class 'B' Full Members
  2. Academic Advisory Group Members
  3. Associate Members; and
  4. Honorary Members

If you are a Malaysian citizen over 18 years of age and is involved in insolvency practice or engaged in insolvency related work or if you have keen interest in the area of insolvency, receivership and liquidation, business restructuring and turnaround management, iPAM openly welcomes you to become a part of our membership body.

To complete the iPAM Membership Application Form, you are required to submit the following documents to secretariat2@ipam.org.my for our further action.

(A) Character Reference Form

  •   Character Referee 1
  •    Character Referee 2
  •    Testimonial from Employer/iPAM Council Member (if applicable)

Note:

a) Referees should not be close relatives and must be iPAM members:-

  • In the event that you are applying for Class A Full Member, both referees must be Class A Full Members.
  • In the event that you are applying for Class B Full Member or Associate, both referees may be either from Class A Full Member or Class B Full Member.

b) In the event that you are not a member of any professional body, an additional testimonial is required from your employer or iPAM Council Member. Please refer to Section 5 item (24) of the Application Form Information Document.

(B) Relevant supporting documents

  • Passport size photo.
  • Certified true copies of your latest certificate(s). Photocopies to be certified by a member/associate/fellow of +iPAM / MIA / MICPA / Malaysian Bar.
  • Any other information you desire to submit which might assist the Council of the iPAM in making a decision on the application.
